The Taj Mahal, a UNESCO world heritage site, is what Agra is most famous for. It is frequently regarded as the most exceptional example of Mughal architecture in the world. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in 1631 to honor his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth.
The building is on the banks of the Yamuna River. She asked him to make a tomb that was different from all the others in her memory. The building process took more than 17 years and involved 22,000 people and 1,000 elephants. These days, it's a beautiful sign of love and beauty.

It has all the charm of an old city with all the benefits of a big city. One of the three points that make up the "golden triangle" is this busy, modern city.
The story goes that the Prince of Wales went on a tour of India in 1876. Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur painted the whole city pink because the color pink was thought to show hospitality. The pink that has covered the city is a beautiful sight to see. The forts of Nahargarh, Jaigarh, and Garh Ganesh Temple make a beautiful background for Jaipur.
